On 7 February 2017 at around 06:00 this morning, several suspects targeted a farmer residing in the White River area.
An undisclosed number of suspects managed to overpower the farmer and his daughter, tied them up, and assaulted both of them.
At this stage, it is believed that the suspects fled with firearms.
The farmer and his daughter did not sustain any serious injuries during the attack.
The police responded to the incident and are following up with an investigation.
The firearms were recovered from a dam on the farm.
