On Thursday, April 13, around 23H50 farm residents heard voices outside their house, situated in Charl Cilliers.
The family locked themselves inside while alerting the community and police.
The police and community swiftly responded to the incident.
First responders conducted a search and found where the suspects may have been picked up by a getaway vehicle.
The police are continuing with the investigation.
