A farm murder took place on Monday 5 June 2023, in the Perdekop area just outside of Standerton, in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa.
The farmer Josef Payne (71) was found at 11:00 after a farm worker became concerned that he had not come out of the home.
The farm worker then went to the nieghbour for assistance.
Mr. Payne was found with serious a abdomen wound and his hands were tied.
What exactly transpired is unclear at this stage but it seems that the attackers searched the home.
The safe was found open and it is presumed that an unknown number of firearms and other items were robbed. But many other valuable items were not taken.
Police are investigating but there have been no arrests.
