The body of a woman (72) was found in her house on a farm near Chrissiesmeer, Mpumalanga on Tuesday morning 27 february 2018, She was apparently murdered.
Her body was found in the bathroom where she had been tied up said Sergeant Gerald Sedibe a police spokesperson, he also could not say who found the body or weather she lived alone on the farm.” at this point it seems as if she was strangled but we shall wait of the autopsy findings to confirm the cause of death” he said.
Sedibe said the woman’s bakkie was also missing but was found abandoned later during the day near Tjakastad. And that at this stage it was unclear what else was missing from the home.
Nobody has as yet been arrested in connection with the murder but any information should be given at the nearest police station.
The name of the deceased woman will only be released after her next of kin have been notified.
