A farm attack took place between Roossenekal and Lydenburg. The incident was tweeted by Ian Cameron. Two female victims were attacked by between 4 and 5 suspects.

The suspects abducted victims and left to Lydenburg. One of the victims was seriously injured and one is still missing. It is reported that one suspect was shot dead and three arrested whilst one fled on foot.

It was later reported by BKA Boere Krisis Aksie that the vehicle was recovered after a shooting in Lydenburg and a suspect killed. Second suspect who was also a driver of a vehicle fled and was being searched for.

BKA further reports that on 25 August 2018, two women were attacked on a farm at 13:00. They were kept until dark. The four suspects then fled to Lydenburg with the two women. The one woman was severely assaulted and at the moment in Midmed Hospital.

The other one was thrown out the vehicle somewhere along the road. The vehicle was found in Lydenburg. A shooting occurred between the SAPS, security and the suspects.

A suspect was shot and one arrested. A suspect escaped. The suspect who was arrested will apparently go point out where the woman was thrown out the vehicle.

Last victim has been found. She is alive but seriously injured.
