A farm attack took place on 29 December 2018, at 01:06 in Elandspruit, between Witbank and Middelburg, in Mpumalanga. Eight armed black males gained access through security fencing and attacked the security guard. They threatened him and tied him up after which they proceeded to steal wheels from a new truck trailer and broke into the farm workshops.
A resident in the farm house who witnessed the attack alerted the farm watch, they were activated and were very quickly on the scene causing the suspects flee on foot leaving the stolen tyres and rims.
SAPS was alerted. As a result of the response no one was injured.
No arrests made and all the stolen items were retrieved.
Suspects are still at large.
