A farm attack took place on 1 August 2021, at 04:30, on a smallholding at Bothwell, Chrissiesmeer, in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. An unknown number of attackers kicked down the door of the home and attacked the Van den Heever family.
A victim who tried to prevent the invasion received stitches to the head after being assaulted with a piece of wood.
The farm watch responded quickly to the attack and arrested one attacker.
The police who took over the scene managed to arrest another two. A vehicle was also impounded by the police who are investigating further.
