A farm attack took place on 2 October 20202, at 20:00, at the Three Falls Cottages, on the Weltevreden road, Lydenburg district, in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. Eight guests who were staying over in cottages were overpowered by two attackers each armed with a firearm and knife. The guests hands and feet were bound with linen and they were then laid on the ground the attackers then packed cushions and chairs on them.

One of the guests, an elderly woman, was allowed to sit at the table and was warned not to look at the attackers. One of the attackers had a mask on and the other not. It was clear that they knew exactly where everything was in the cottage.

The attack endured until 23:00 when the attackers fled in one of the guests vehicles, a Prado, but left a Toyota Fortuner that they couldn’t get going.

Items that were robbed include four laptops, seven cell phones, jewelry, a TV and a lot of clothing. The victims managed to free themselves and raise the alarm. There were no serious injuries. Police are investigating but there have been no arrests.
