The grieving family of Tinana Ntimane is demanding answers after her badly decomposed body was discovered on the grounds of Tonga Hospital in Nkomazi. The discovery has sparked outrage, with the family and community members accusing the hospital of negligence and possible foul play.

Body Found Near Sewage Area After Prolonged Search

Ntimane’s body was found near a sewage area within the hospital premises after multiple searches were conducted. Her daughter expressed deep distress over the state of the remains, stating that the body appeared to have been dumped long before its discovery.

“The way we found her body shows us that she died a while back, and someone just dumped her there,” the daughter said. “The head of the hospital kept insisting that our mother left the hospital. We are not happy at all—we want answers.”

Suspicions of Foul Play

The family suspects that Ntimane’s disappearance and death were not accidental. They claim to have searched the same area previously, even with police assistance, but found nothing.

“When we got to the hospital, we walked just two steps and saw her body,” a family member said. “What confuses me is that we searched that area before and didn’t find anything. Now we believe something happened to her, and they’re not telling us the truth.”

Community Outrage Over Hospital’s Accountability

Local residents have joined the family in condemning the hospital’s management, questioning the lack of security and proper oversight.

“Where was the security? Where was the head of the hospital?” a community member asked. “This means they don’t know what they’re doing. Where were the nurses when our mother went missing, and her body was found like that?”

Police Investigation Underway

Authorities have opened an inquest into Ntimane’s death, with investigations still ongoing. Police confirmed that a postmortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

Meanwhile, the family is preparing for Ntimane’s funeral, which is set to take place on Sunday. As they mourn, they vow to seek justice, with legal action being considered against the hospital.

“We are tired—physically and emotionally—with the way everything happened,” the daughter said. “Our mother deserves justice.”
