A 23-year-old suspect was arrested during an intelligence driven disruptive operation conducted on Friday, 24 February 2023 at Evander in Mpumalanga.
The disruptive operation was executed by the Secunda based Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation team together with Crime Intelligence Division and K9 unit also based in Secunda.
The arrest follows information received about a certain house where drugs were allegedly sold.
On arrival at the identified address, the suspect was found in possession of different types of drugs which include nyaupe, cat, crystal meth, heroin and crack cocaine.
The drugs together with drug substance grinder, drug packaging material as well as undisclosed cash amount were confiscated for further investigation.
The suspect was arrested and will appear in the Evander Magistrate Court on Monday, 27 February 2023.
