A 30-year-old woman is expected to appear at the Emalahleni Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 18 July 2023, on two counts of murder and arson after two people were burnt to death inside a shack in Vosman in the early hours of Sunday, 16 July 2023.
According to a report, police as well as the paramedics were informed about an incident whereby two people were torched at Hlalanikahle in Vosman.
Upon their arrival, it was then discovered that they two, a male (27) and a female (40) were burnt beyond recognition and where unfortunately certified that by the medical personnel.
Investigation by the police immediately began and the said woman was arrested in connection with this incident hence the court appearance on 18 July 2023.
The investigation into the motive behind this disheartening incident is currently unknown however Domestic Violence cannot be ruled out.
Meanwhile the Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has strongly condemned the incident. “We members of the public who might be going through life’s challenges to refrain from resorting to violent behaviour and rather resolve matters in a civil way,” said Lieutenant General Manamela.
