Norman Sylvester Mokoena also known as “Dallas” (23) who was being sought for escaping from lawful custody was arrested by members of Mpumalanga Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, Tactical Response Team, Crime Intelligence on Saturday 29 August 2020 in Bushbuckridge.

Mokoena was circulated as most wanted on 8 July 2020, for escaping from lawful custody after he escaped from Calcutta Magistrate Court holding cells after he was denied bail for a series of armed robbery cases he committed in Bushbuckridge (Marite) whereby he targeted delivery trucks.

During his arrest, the accused was found in possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

Mokoena appeared before the Mhala Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 31 August 2020 for a chain of armed robberies and escaping from police custody. The case is postponed to 3 September 2020.
