A 39 year old man, who is a Proportional Representative (PR) Councillor at the Dipaleseng Local Municipality, together with a 39 year old lady friend, appeared at the Balfour Magistrate’s Court on 15 August 2018, facing allegations of conspiracy to commit murder.
The suspects, Monto Nkosi and Elizabeth Sithole, were arrested after an alleged plan to kill Nkosi’s wife was derailed. A probe was then instituted and it led to the arrest of the duo.
The suspects were remanded in custody until 21 August 2018, pending formal bail application.
