The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has commended the exceptional work done by a team that she established herself in an effort to tackle new trends of serious crime which threatens the safety and security of the community of Mpumalanga.
On 13 June 2022 the team conducted an operation which led them to the arrest of two suspects, Carlos Mondlane (32) and Sylvester Nyathi (30) in connection with burglary business cases at the SAPS Provincial Office in Nelspruit.
The arrest of the suspects is regarded as a success whereby suspects were linked to several cases at the police headquarters.
One of the incidents occurred in July 2014 whilst another in May 2016 and the third one was carried out at the headquarters in June 2021.
