A company receptionist received four calls in succession, just after 10:00 on the morning of 6 October 2017, stating that there is a bomb in the building of an Attorneys firm in Nelspruit.
The police were called, all relevant role players were activated.
The bomb specialists of the South African Police Service discovered a suspicious looking parcel inside the building after a thorough search. That parcel turned out to be an electric pressure plate placed in a box.
It was thoroughly dissected and analysed. At the end it turned out that the calls were nothing else but a hoax.
Police opened a bomb threat charge for investigation and anyone with information that may assist in the investigation is urged to contact the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111.
