Bogus inspector arrested robbing betting business, Nelspruit

A 40 year old man is expected to appear at the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on 2 July 2018 for charges of robbery at a business.

His appearance follows his arrest on 30 June 2018 at a betting place in Nelspruit, around 12:00.

It is alleged that the man who was neatly dressed entered the betting house pretending to be an Inspector having come for an inspection.

He reportedly went to the cash office where he allegedly tied the supervisor using masking tape and took an undisclosed amount of cash which he put on a briefcase before leaving the office.

As he was about to exit the shop the manager caught him, the police were called and they arrested the suspect, hence the expected appearance in court.
