An eight-year-old boy who was reported missing on Friday, 30 September 2022 at Elukwatini police station, was sadly found dead in Tjakastad on Sunday, 2 October 2022.

His partly decomposed body was found in a street close to his house where the family together with the police have previously conducted a search with no success.

Currently police rely on awaited post-mortem results to determine the cause of death meanwhile the investigation continues.

The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has emphasised to the public that police will dig deep in their investigation to ensure that justice is served without fear or favour.
