The body of a girl, believed to be 4 years old, was found in the veld along Watermeyer Road in Witbank, Mpumalanga.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the local authorities already on the scene.
Upon closer inspection, paramedics discovered the body of a young girl lying in the long grass.
Paramedics assessed the girl and found that she had been dead for some time. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for her and she was declared dead.
The exact details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
