The Kanyamazane Magistrate’s Court has issued an order that the body of a 17 year old boy, believed to have been slain during a beating should be exhumed today, 13 September 2018. The order follows after police in Mpumalanga launched a murder probe following allegations that he was assaulted by his parents and two brothers in Pienaar on Thursday, 06 September 2018.
Concerned members of the community brought the matter to the attention of the police and an investigation was initiated. The suspects were arrested and appeared in court yesterday, charged with murder and defeating the ends of justice.
They were remanded in custody and will reappear at the same court on Friday, 14 September 2018 pending bail application.
