The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has thanked members of Amersfoort SAPS for their hard work. The members responded swiftly to a call regarding a robbery at a business premises on Monday, 9 May 2022 around 19:10.
A multi-disciplinary team of law enforcement agencies was swiftly assembled, which consisted of SAPS members and private security stakeholders.
SAPS members at Ermelo were immediately alerted of the getaway vehicle that was entering their policing precinct.
The collaboration resulted in the vehicle being cornered. Three suspects were arrested. One of the suspects evaded the arrest and is still at large.
The vehicle that was reportedly used in the robbery was also confiscated.
The suspects are expected to appear in court soon meanwhile the Investigation continues.
