More tourists robbed in South Africa

A British couple was robbed in Port Elizabeth by an armed man. The robber ran away and was later arrested while in a taxi. A shot was fired by the robber, and one of the bystanders was injured. A private security company arrested the suspect. On January 4, a 23-year-old man was arrested after breaking into a bank in Port Elizabeth.

EFF member suspended

The EFF suspended one of their members, Patrick Sindane, after allegations that he had assaulted a woman in Soweto.

Magistrate shot

A 50-year-old Magistrate of Cullinan was shot outside his house in Bronkhorstspruit. He was shot four times in his vehicle before he could enter his house and was declared dead at the scene. It is unknown whether his death can be linked to any matters he has heard.
