
Parks Tau, South Africa’s Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, has confirmed a positive diagnosis for COVID-19, according to an official communication released by his department on Wednesday.
In a brief statement, the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (dtic) assured the public that Minister Tau remains in good health and is adhering to recommended health protocols by isolating at home.
The Minister has also issued a public appeal, requesting that individuals who have interacted with him in recent days consider getting tested for the virus and continue to follow established safety precautions to limit further transmission.
