The ANC Minister for Land Reform, Maite Nkoana Mashabane, told farmers and land activists to ignore commentary by Peter Dutton of Australia on visas for South African farmers.

She spoke in Illovo and said: “We (the government) never implied that we will take back land because it is in the constitution.”

Analysts are astonished at her statements because her big boss and other ministers repeatedly declared that land should be expropriated without compensation as soon as possible, as well as the fact that they have supported an EFF motion in parliament.
