The Minister of Energy, Mmamoloko Kubayi, has investigated alleged tender irregularities in her department.
Several senior officials are allegedly involved in the case involving R80 million.
According to the Department, a contract has been awarded to Mahlaka-A-Phalala (MAP) and information indicates that the director-general of energy, Thabane Zulu, his deputy Zizamele Mbambo, as well as the acquisition specialist, Nfafa Ngwane, and chief financial Manager, Yvonne Chetty, may be involved in the irregular award of the contract.
Zulu has since moved to the Strategic Energy Fund, and Ndaba has gradually disappeared from the scene.
