It was mind boggling, not to say somewhat revolting, to read how a number of Stellenbosch Wine farmers praised Ramaphosa during a meeting at the Beyerskloof Estate. He was even praised as a “messenger from God!” Why would they do that? In the hope of: If I can’t beat them, join them and maybe they’ll let me keep my farm and take somebody else’s?
Many liberals made that mistake before! When are we going to learn never to believe the promises of an African president?
Did, for example, land grabs stop in Zimbabwe after Mugabe was deposed? They SAID so. But they lied. And with this example we say: We don’t believe a word of Ramaphosa’s assurances. And anybody who does must be really gullible.
