On Wednesday 2 May 2018, a robust increase in fuel prices will start again, and will then hit a record price.
Motorists are encouraged to fill their vehicles, and possibly even a few fuel containers, on Tuesday before the price of petrol rises by 49 cents per liter and diesel by 59 cents per liter. Paraffin will be 69 cents per liter more expensive.
The high oil price is the biggest contributor, although the fall in the rand’s value due to uncertain government policy also plays an important part.
