Trevor Manuel addressed audit firms who still employed members despite the fact that these members had acted unlawfully.
Firms like KMPG and Nkonki inc.’s role in the Gupta saga, as well as the problems with VBS Bank and Steinhoff, puts a dark cloud over these auditing firms that closed their eyes fto transactions that “smelled” of fraud and money laundering.
Manuel has called on all members of the SA Audit Association to suspend such employees.
