A spokesman for Staan Saam Rustenburg Buurtwag (SSRB) confirmed at the murder-scene on Wednesday June 25 2014 that Mrs Janse van Rensburg, who runs the Halfpad scrap-recycling yard and liquor store on the road between Buffelspoort and Rustenburg, was locking up her office when two armed (*black: confirmed) males shot her dead execution-style: with two shots through her head.
Her husband was not present during the murder. He was heartbroken when he arrived at the scene after she was shot,’ said the spokesman.
SAPS sergeant Kealeboga Molale confirmed that ‘the woman aged 51 was attacked at around 18h30 when she was locking up her business premises.
“They (the two black males) saw the (unarmed) woman at the counter and shot her dead.
They then went to an office to rob cash from a worker. They fled’. He couldn’t say how much cash was ‘robbed’. Nothing else was ‘robbed.’
