Hartbeespoort, South Africa – A man from Hartbeespoort was attacked on September 18, 2014 by four men with a chisel and other sharp objects.
Stef De Bruto (40) suffered stab wounds to his face, shoulder and head. His cheek muscles were severed and the chisel was used on his head.
Stef was watching television when he saw the curtain move. He thought it was visitors, but then he saw a man coming towards him with a weapon.
A scuffle ensued when Stef tried to force the three men from the house.
While the one man stabbed his head with the chisel, another man stabbed him with a sharp object in the shoulder.
No words were exchanged between Stef and the three men. “It was clear, they wanted to kill me,” Stef told Cormorant Newspaper. A fourth man waited at the door.
Stef did not call out during the attack for fear of waking his wife who was asleep in the bedroom.
Miraculously Stef succeeded in getting the men out of the house. He slammed the security door gate and the men fled.
