JOHANNESBURG – A breakthrough has been made in the murder and mutilation of a 15-year-old girl from Relela outside Tzaneen, Limpopo police said on Wednesday.
A man was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the brutal murder that led to a string of violent protests in the area.
“The police in Limpopo on Wednesday arrested a man suspected of brutally killing 15-year-old Kgomotso Ragolane of Relela outside Tzaneen,” spokesman Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said in a statement.
“Ragolane’s body, whose hands were chopped off, was found by a passerby at Mandlakazi village on January 24.”
