On the morning of March 24 a robber was caught on CCTV footage, 5 minutes after the footage was reviewed by a security company the suspect was arrested.
At approximately 7am on March 24 we received a call from a local nursery in the New Redruth area.
Our client had informed us that there was a handbag which was stolen out of a motor vehicle belonging to one of the parents.
The CCTV footage was viewed and a clear description of the suspect was given to the CPS Security reaction team.
Five minutes after the footage was viewed the CPS Tactical Team located the suspect in the Alberton Boulevard where he was attempting to withdraw money from FNB with the victims stolen cards.
The suspect was arrested and a case of theft out of motor vehicle was opened.
