Followers of Julius Malema, leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) are annoyed and outraged by comments Zama Ngcobo made on radio. According to supporters of the EFF, they are planning a protest at SABC, for the removal of Ngcobo, who is a presenter on the radio station Ukhozi FM. The protest is scheduled for Friday, June 17, and no further details have been given.
According to supporters, Ngcobo said, “Malema is a small boy who knows nothing about politics he is fooling people, and people must not vote for him.” There might be some truth in that statement. The Malema followers say the presenter has no respect for their leader and the fighters.
The EFF supporters who are referred to as fighters want fair coverage like any other political party. The fighters say everybody hates Malema for protecting the poor, for fighting white oppression and dominance. People hate Malema for fighting for equal opportunities and the land reform policies.
The fighters are so naïve, and it is disturbing that they fail to see that the EFF manifesto has too many similarities to that of Robert Mugabe, president of Zimbabwe. Malema is brilliant at manipulating people and criticizing others. Is it only the EFF fighters who fail to see how demanding Malema is. Malema, the voice of the poor, continues to manipulate the blind followers.
Why do the supporters of the EFF trust a party that is non-disciplined, a party that has implemented nothing but chaos in parliament? Do they fail to see that the manifesto of caring for the poor has no detailed evidence on how the EFF will advance their policies? Malema and the EFF are taking advantage of the poor, unemployed people of South Africa.
What the supporters of the EFF fail to grasp is that Malema was a prominent figure in the ruling African National Congress (ANC) for over ten years. During that time, the sentiments of Malema was that he would die for the ANC and never defamed the party. Since being kicked out of the ANC, it has taken Malema two years to tell South Africans all the sins of the ANC. Does Malema have a hidden agenda?
