Malema faces rebellion from within EFF

Die Vryburger

Julius Malema, the instigator leader of the EFF, faces a rebellion from within his own ranks.

It deals with the handling of the party’s funds earmarked for work in the wards but apparently ended up in other hands or pockets.

Apparently, this is the second time in two years that questions are being asked about the handling of money. In 2015, two party members were expelled after they dared to call for an investigation over the party’s handling of funds.

Provincial leaders complain that they do not have access to party resources and the provinces experience a cash flow problem. Unhappy party members even go so far as to attempt to replace Malema with the party’s deputy president, Floyd Shivambu, who denies all reports of a rift in the red party.

Unhappiness is is also prevalent in some circles about cooperation between the DA and the EFF in certain municipalities.
