During an attack on tourists on a plot in Phalaborwa in the Limpopo province of South Africa on Thursday night 26 December 2019, an underage female was also raped. Nine tourists were attacked on a smallholding in the Siloque nature reserve by armed attackers whilst on holiday in the country. The young girl was allegedly taken to a separate room during the attack and raped.
The tourists were robbed of a laptop, 10 cellphones, Jewelry and a cash amount of over R5 000. The attackers fled the scene, using the victims rented Mercedes Benz ML. The girl was treated at a hospital Phalaborwa but left the country with her mom from Johannesburg the following day.
There is no other information available at this stage. Police are investigating but there have been no arrests.
