The operation comprises of Public order policing, K9 unit and operational members.
The operation was aimed at curbing crime, tracing wanted suspects and uprooting the mushrooming of drugs in and around the Sesheho policing area.
While conducting the operation, the police went to new residence area at Zone 1 of Seshego called Juju valley and members of the community together with their ward councilor, blocked the entrance for the police.
The police tried by all means to gain entrance to the place but community members started throwing stones at the police vehicles. It is suspected that in the area, people are selling liquor without licenses and some are planting dagga.
No arrests have been made yet.
Meanwhile in Makhado, the police are busy with an operation led by the Vispol Commander, Vispol members, support services personnel, detectives, reservists and CPF members. The focus of the operation will be tracing of wanted suspects and intensifying police visibility around malls.
