The South African Police Service in Limpopo has assembled a multi-disciplinary task team to follow the tracks of the suspects who robbed traffic police officers who were on duty in the Marble Hall policing area outside Groblersdal on the afternoon of 21 June 2019.

It is alleged that at about 15:15, the two officers were on duty along the Slagboom public road near Marble Hall conducting speed trap duties. In the process, they stopped a grey VW Polo TSI without number plates with five occupants for exceeding the speed limit.

While they were busy issuing the driver with a written notice, three passengers alighted, two of them armed with rifles and the other one with a pistol. They robbed both the officers and took two cell phones, a firearm and the equipment before they fled the scene.

The suspects are unknown and no arrest has been made and the investigation continuing.

Anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects, is requested to contact Captain Richard Boshomane at 079 894 5501 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.
