The Police in Mokopane outside Polokwane have arrested two suspects for murder after the body of a 17 year old teenage girl was found at the dumping site outside Mokopane CBD. It is alleged that on Friday 12 April 2019, the teenage girl aged 17, left her home to school at about 06:40 and she never returned home after school.

The following day, on Saturday at about 10:15, a passerby noticed the victim lying on the ground in the dumping site still wearing her school uniform. The discovery was made between Ext 14 and Ext 20 in Mokopane.

The police were notified and, together with the EMS, rushed to the scene.

The Preliminary Police investigations revealed that the deceased was a learner at a local high school in Mokopane. The intensive police investigations resulted in the arrests of two suspects, aged 17 and 18. They are both learners at the same local high school where the deceased was attending.

The arrested suspects will appear before Mokopane magistrate’s court soon.
