Two arrested with guns and stolen goods in Bela-Bela

Operations, composed of various Police Units, are still being conducted throughout the Province.

Yesterday, 6 April 2017 at about 13:00, members arrested two suspects, aged 24 and 29, after they broke into a house in Bela-Bela, gained access to the safe and took firearms and money.

During the arrests, the following stolen items were recovered:
1x Plasma TV
8x Firearms
15 x rounds of ammunition
3 x rifle telescopes
R2110-00 cash

The suspects will appear before the Bela-Bela Magistrate Court soon and Police investigations are still continuing.

Meanwhile, in the Magatle and Zebediela areas outside Lebowakgomo, the operation continued by means of increased foot patrols, horse patrols and raids on shebeens.

A man was arrested when he attempted to enter into South Africa illegally through the river at Groblersbrug Border Post and was stopped by the Lephalale K9 Unit together with members of the SANDF. The man dropped a 3-year-old baby boy in the river and ran away. A chase ensued and the man was arrested and the child was safely recovered.

The suspect will appear before Mokopane Magistrate Court soon and Police investigations are still continuing.
