Continuous concerted effort in dealing with crime incidents affecting the business community in most of the Clusters of this Province, the established crime fighting strategies are yielding positive results with the main objective of eradicating all the crime hot spots.
In Lephalale, a sting joint operation composed of various Police Units was conducted in both Marapong and Onverwact following the theft of cash to the amount of R800 000-00 which occurred in a shop within the Lephalale CBD.
During this operation, three suspects aged between 26 and 41, who are all employees of that shop, were arrested.
During the arrest, the amount of R250 000-00 from the stolen amount and 11 cell phones were recovered.
The suspects will appear before the Lephalale Magistrate Court on Monda, 24 July 2017 on a charge of theft.
