Copper thieves are striking again in the Grootpan area. Last night transformers were stolen from the premises of Rupert Richter, Klippan farm.
Most of the hubs stand due to the recent heavy rains, and people must ensure that they are not stolen.
The stolen transformer had an alarm but the owners did not receive a signal, and this is probably due to signal jamming. There have been reports of two similar cases of signal jamming in the west of Lichtenburg.
