The South African Police Service in Limpopo have welcomed the long jail terms passed by the Polokwane High Court against three men on violent crimes ranging from murder to armed robbery.

Klaas Khutso Ntsoane (38) and Lucky Mokoena (39) were each sentenced to life imprisonment plus 90 years imprisonment for murder ,carjacking, kidnapping and armed robbery.

The third accused, Charles Modimola (39) was sentenced to 21 years imprisonment for kidnapping and armed robbery.

The trio who hail from Tembisa in the Gauteng Province were arrested in 2014 during an intelligence led joint operation composed of the Provincial Crime Intelligence ,the Provincial Tracking Team and Lephalale Cluster Task Team.

This comes after an incident which occured on October 2014 when the suspects hijacked a Combi which was transporting Botswana Nationals from Francistown to Johannesburg.

The occupants were robbed of their belongings outside Lephalale town after they were stopped by these accused using a Police blue light.They further kidnapped the driver before fatally shooting him.

During their arrest, the Police managed to recover a firearm, Police uniform and Police blue light.

The Saps Provincial Commissioner, Lt.General Nneke Ledwaba has expressed his deepest gratitude towards all these members who played a role in ensuring this milestone achievement.
