The Police in Letsitele outside Tzaneen have launched a massive manhunt for the suspects involved in the killing of the three lions at a farm in the Letsitele Policing precinct. The incident took place on Sunday, 26 August 2018.

It is alleged that the farm manager was patrolling around the camp when she noticed that the fence was cut. She went to the lion’s enclosure and discovered two lion carcasses with their heads and paws cut off. The third carcass was found on same spot with no missing parts.

The South African Police Service in Limpopo, strongly condemn the ongoing killing of the protected species, including lions, which is still prevalent in some areas.

Those who are still perpetrating this crime, will be dealt with harshly and without compromise.
