The Police in Hlanganani, outside Giyani, are investigating cases of arson and attempted murder.
It is alleged that in the early hours of today at about 00:15, a woman left her three children aged 4, 5 and 7 years old sleeping inside an RDP house and went to a local pub.
While she was at the pub,she saw her house burning and she immediately rushed back home and called for assistance from the local community who responded. The children were rescued and taken to the hospital with serious injuries for medical treatment.
The cause and motive of this incident is still unknown but Police investigations are continuing.
A case of child neglect will also be registered and investigated.
