The police in Limpopo are searching for three suspects who over the weekend broke into a house on the Speculatie farm near Lephalale (Ellisras).

It appears that the suspects gained access to the property between Saturday and Sunday while the owner was not at home. The thieves broke a window to access the house.

The thieves used mechanical equipment to break open the safe and stole an undisclosed amount of American dollars, four plasma television sets, and hunting rifles. The suspects loaded the stolen goods into the owners Isuzu bakkie and fled the scene.

One of the hunting rifles was found on a bed, left by the suspects.

The police found the Isuzu bakkie about ten kilometers from the farm, the wheels were flat, and the four television sets were still on the back of the vehicle.

The possibility of the suspects previously working on the farm is being investigated by the police.

The quick response from the police resulted in the vehicle and television sets being recovered.

The police are still searching for the three suspects and the other stolen items.

The investigation is ongoing.
