A fast thinking woman, Mrs Nell, who was alone on the farm Krokodil drif, in Groblersdal, Limpopo province, South Africa and the fast reaction of the neighborhood watch resulted in a farm attack being averted on 12 November 2019, at 01:00. The woman’s dogs alerted her to trespassers on the farm, she contacted the neighborhood watch for assistance via the farm radio. It was then that the attackers attempted to break open the door. She made contact again for help.

The fast response caused the attackers to flee once the headlights of the responding vehicles were spotted. On closer investigation it was revealed that the fence had been cut and there were tracks of three people heading in and out of the property and tracks of more people on the outside of the fence.

It is presumed that there were five attackers in total and their tracks lead in the direction of the N11 road, towards Marble hall / Groblersdal.

There have been no arrests.
