Siloam police are investigating a murder following the death of a man on 5 February 2020, at about 17:00, at Mandiwana location.
The deceased was burnt by angry community members after being thought of being the one who raped a 24 year old victim early in the morning at about 01:30 at Mandix bar lounge compound, where he allegedly gained entrance through the roof and raped the victim who is an employee at the said bar lounge at knife point.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased was spotted by the victim in the afternoon at the bar lounge then raised an alarm whereby patrons and community members attacked and burnt him alongside the road.
No one has been arrested yet but a police investigation is underway.
