The Police in Masemola outside Sekhukhune activated a massive manhunt for suspects who allegedly shot and killed one person and injured another at Mahlolaneng village in Ga-Masemola, on Monday, 12 June 2023 at about 20:30.

It is alleged that two unknown suspects armed with firearms went to the victims’ homestead and found the two in the yard.

They accused them of stealing goats in the area and subsequently fired several shots at them.

A 38-year-old man, Thabang Zachariah Mosehla died on the scene while his nephew sustained serious injuries.

The Police were summoned to the scene and they arrived with the emergency personnel who managed to take the 32-year-old to the local hospital for medical attention.

The police opened a case of murder and attempted murder.

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe condemned the incident and called upon the Task Team to track down the suspects.
