Police in the Waterberg District have apprehended a 29-year-old male suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred on Sunday afternoon.
The incident took place at Block 7 of the RDP houses, adjacent to a local tavern, on 02 November 2025, at approximately 17:21.
According to police reports, authorities were alerted to a murder after the victim was brought to the Northam Clinic. Upon their arrival at the medical facility, they discovered the body of a 30-year-old male who had sustained multiple open wounds.
Officers then proceeded to the original crime scene. There, they recovered a broken bottle, which is believed to have been the weapon used in the attack.
The suspect was swiftly traced and arrested shortly after the incident. He is scheduled to make his first appearance before the Northam Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 04 November 2025, where he will face a charge of murder.
Police have confirmed that investigations into the matter are ongoing.
