
A 26-year-old man is scheduled to appear before the Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 09 February 2026, following his arrest in connection with a business robbery in GaMochemi Village.
The incident occurred on Thursday, 05 February 2026, at approximately 17:00. According to police reports, the suspect entered a spaza shop owned by a foreign national and demanded money. He then allegedly pushed the complainant away from the cash register before stealing an undisclosed amount of cash and several shop items and fleeing the scene.
The crime was reported to the South African Police Service, who traced and arrested the suspect later that same day.
The suspect will face a formal charge of business robbery. Police confirmed that investigations into the matter are continuing.
