Police continue to win the battle against criminal activities around the province. This is after a tip off led to the arrest of three suspects aged between 22 and 56 in possession of copper.

It is alleged that on 24 January 2018, at around 17:00 the police received information about stolen copper wires and Intensive investigations led to a shack at Makgemeng Village.

Three African men were found in possession of plastic bags full of copper wires and were immediately apprehended.

The three suspects, Enos Mokoena (35), Joseph Makola (56) and Julias Phelane (22) appeared before Praktiseer Magistrate’s Court on charges of possession of suspected stolen copper wire and were denied bail.

Their case was postponed until 8 February 2018.

The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo Lt.Gen Nneke Ledwaba has once again applauded the police for their sterling job done. He urges the community members to continue working together with police to sweep all criminal acts in our province.
